Thristwn is a Glanfathan expatriate in Pillars of Eternity. He can be found on the first floor of The Charred Barrel in the Brackenbury district of Defiance Bay.
Background
The young elf is dressed in gaudy robes that he seems ready to cast off. He picks at a heavily brocaded sleeve and continually adjusts the gold chain around his neck. Thristwn is a con man, working with Serel, a courtesan from the Salty Mast. His job is to find a noble with more money than sense, fuel him up with liquor, then send them her way to liberate him of his wealth. They never take more than the price of a fling and perhaps a bit off the top, like a hundred coppers or a trinket. The lords don't miss it and they make a living. Everything worked well until she filched an ancient Engwithan medalion. As a Glanfathan, Thristwn found that to be near-blasphemous, but Serel refused to part with it, no matter what. It's particularly difficult for him as he can't just leave and return to Eir Glanfath.
Thristwn grew up in Eir Glanfath with the Shattering Spear Clan. Glanfathans have protected Engwithan ruins for thousands of years. It's the one duty the gods ask in exchange for the freedom to live as the Glanfathans please. But as treasure hunters started to loot the ruins and the clan failed in its duty, they were forced to abandon the wilds and move to the cities. Thristwn did better than his peers, but is still bound to them by blood. He sees the medallion as a chance to put everything in order and allow the Shattering Spear to return to Eir Glanfath and a life of meaning. Even though he and the forty other clan members in Defiance Bay can technically do so on their own, they refuse to until things are set to rights.
