The Seeds of Deception is a quest in The Forgotten Sanctum.
Synopsis[ | ]
Llengrath or Tayn requested I search for an ancient arcane artifact of Engwith while I explore the body of Wael.
Walkthrough[ | ]
Depending on who you sided with during Root and Branch and A Shout in the Dark, Llengrath or Tayn will request that you find the Godseed after completing both quests. The reward changes depending on who you sided with and your final dialog choices upon completion. This quest can only be done along side The Inner Mysteries.
(Note- You might not be able to get this quest if you dont do both quests for a single mage)
Descend into The Upper Bowels and collect two of the pieces of the godseed. Each are located on a pedestal with a light blue glow.
- The first is found in the northeastern corner of the map in the Archives Subbasement.
- The second is found on the southwestern side of the map in the Memory Siphon area.
Jump down into the Passage to the Depths (center of the area), which leads to The Heart of Mystery. The final piece is located opposite the boss.
Return the godseed parts (including Outer Godseed Fragment 1, Outer Godseed Fragment 2, and Godseed Inner Core) for your reward:
- Tayn: Will grant you Tayn's Gratitude. His plans for the item are a little murky, but claims he will plant the seed to grow a new titan.
- Llengrath: Will grant you Glasanam Argûes and plans to use the item to grow a vessel for Llengrath.
- Optional: Keep the godseed instead. The godseed parts can be used to upgrade a weapon or armor; one will upgrade to Mythic, the other two to Legendary. However, this will upset the wizard. Note: you must discuss the godseed directly after your return from the boss. Otherwise, a quest trigger will fail to activate and you will not receive the version of the godseed parts that can be used as enchantment upgrades.
