Mātakau is a battle axe in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.
Description[ | ]
Seemingly no more than a wedge of finely-knapped obsidian, the blade of this axe cuts through cadaverous flesh like a ship through water. Stories of this weapon source it back to the aftermath of a volcanic devastation that scoured a Huana village off the map. The hardy souls of Mataru warriors and priests lost in the lava flow may have imbued the rock with some unusual properties.
