Dim Prospects is a quest in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.

Synopsis

Atsura, grand secretary of the Royal Deadfire Company, wants me to impede the Vailians' progress at Poko Kohara. To that end, he's asked me to find a way to render the luminous adra there unusable. He didn't provide specific instructions, but the details may become clearer when I see the site for myself.

Walkthrough

• The quest is straightforward and requires you to complete The Storms of Poko Kohara by sabotaging the great pillar. Return once the deed is done.
  • If you destroyed the pillar, the deed is straightforward. You will receive two lots of Moderate Positive reputation with the RDC, and 1,250 for your efforts.
  • Otherwise, you receive a Moderate Negative reputation with RDC. You can offset that by lying you couldn't do anything (Bluff 4, Minor Positive) and observing that concentrated adra can generate these storms (Metaphysics 5, Moderate Positive; this is because weather engineering is something Rauatai is deeply interested in).
