Cornett of Waves is a quest item in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire. It is part of a pair, of which the Cornett of Depths is the other.
Description
This conch is inscribed with the wave-and-crescent symbol of Ondra. The tip has been sawn off and fitted with a silver mouthpiece. When you hold it to your ear, you hear crashing waves and the faint sound of a woman singing.
Acquisition
- Takano's Estate: Stolen from the locked trunk. Alternatively you can convince Takano to hand it over during The Cornett's Call.
Usage
- The Cornett can be brought to Dereo the Lean during The Cornett's Call. He gives you the blessing to enter The Undercroft unabated. Without it, you'll have to contend with all the pirates in the way. This is also an alternate means of entering the Old City Ruins from The Undercroft by talking to Gwenfin, otherwise you have to go through the entire Old City from the lift in The Gullet.
- Either the Cornett of Depths or the Cornett of Waves allows you to open the way to the Temple of Ondra in the Old City Ruins.
- You can place both conches in a mural in the temple to open a secret stash containing Cadhu Scalth (a unique large shield) and Wahai Pōraga (a unique pollaxe).
