Blackwood Log is a quest item in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.
Description
Blackwood trees are exceedingly rare. The corrupted trees are only found among the shadowy groves of the mênpŵgra. Normally harvested by the enigmatic Rathun Raiders, these logs are used to craft some of the sturdiest hulls found within the Deadfire Archipelago.
Acquisition
- Fort Deadlight, Deadlight Donjon: Found in a cabinet in the bedroom area.
- Crookspur Dungeons: In a chest near the Slave Cell in the Crookspur Dungeons.
- Flooded cave: On an island to the far northeast of the world map, in the Ofecchia Channel, and at the coordinates 5° 36, 66° 3'. The log is in a cabinet towards the back of study area.
- Splintered Reef, Crypt Interior: In crates in the southwest room.
- Drowned Barrows - Crown: In the hidden study area of the crown, accessed via the hidden staircase in the northeast corner of the base floor.
Usage
- It is the only item used in a recipe to create a Blackwood Hull, which is required to pass through Ondra's Mortar.

- Blackwood Log was added in patch 5.0.0[1].
- Prior to this patch, Blackwood Hull could simply be purchased for 64,000 from the ship supply vendor in Neketaka.
