Ymir is a character in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.
Background[edit | edit source]
The dancer turns to greet you, a coy smile tugging at his lips. He's short for an elf, but no less graceful for his lacking height. His long face and dark eyes lend him a solemn air, but any hint of gloom is chased away by the wash of color in his cheeks. Ymir hails from the Aedyr Empire and studied in his youth to become an arcane knight. A prank that wet awry and killed several people cut these plans short and forced him to flee all the way to Neketaka. Ymir still feels remorse, but moved on and settled on a career where he makes his own hours, meets fascinating people, and earns good money.
Ymir is Aloth's acquaintance from school, and according to the elf, his tastes have changed little: Aloth still likes tile puzzles and deflecting personal questions. Ymir seems to have been romantically interested in Aloth, but Aloth says that he had "confused the poor fellow" during their academy days, followed by a comment from Iselmyr if she was not suppressed, suggesting that she was the one flirting with him in Aloth's stead.
