Wine-and-Blood-Splattered Letter is a letter and quest item in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.
Description[ | ]
Hello lovesome,
While I am disappointed you've yet to come see me - I do understand. My little Sirens tell me you've been quite busy bloodying the Deadfire, for which I can certainly appreciate. Or perhaps my first missive to you was merely lost at sea?
Either way.
I hear you've got a deal (another one, really?) going on with Furrante to muck around in the mess that is Crookspur Island. Before you go sailing in to do that cock-rot's bidding, come and have a chat with me, will you? I've got a proposition for you I think you'll find wickedly enticing.
I'll reserve our finest berth for [Player Ship] at Fort Deadlight's docks.
Your most ruthless but truthful friend (in possibility, should you choose),
Captain Aeldys
PS - Be a dear and bring me some candied nuts, aye?
Acquisition[ | ]
- Given to you after leaving Dunnage with the quest A Shrewd Proposition, if you have not already met Captain Aeldys.
Trivia[ | ]
- Three different versions of this letter exist, with slightly varied contents:
- Wine-and-Blood-Splattered Letter, given normally.
- Wine-and-Blood-Splattered Letter (bad reaction), is not used in-game. It's the same, but omits the postscript about the Candied Nuts.
- Wine-and-Blood-Splattered Letter (not met before), given if you've not already met Aeldys. It adds a couple of sentences asking why you've not seen her, and uses different sign-off. The icon is also different.
