Vektor is a character, merchant, and a recruitable crew member in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.

Background[edit | edit source]

The dwarf fans himself with a dishrag. His face is dark and shiny with exertion. Sweat colors wide crescents on his shirt.

He looks at you like a drowning man would look at dry land.

Vektor is a mountain dwarf from the Republics, descended from Pargrunen immigrants. At the present, he's a member of the Vailian Trading Company sent as part of a larger contingent to Tikawara, in order to exploit the luminous adra deposits at Poko Kohara ruins. His team received a ducal welcome at first, until Anaharu, the local chieftain, voiced his objections and turned the local opinion against the Vailians. Although no violence happened, they were forced to sleep on their boat - except for Vektor. It seems that the local cuisine doesn't agree with him, leading to nasty runs.

He suspects that the local chieftain gave his team a false lead under the priest's influence, leading them to a horrible fate. As the galley cook, he has few options at his disposal and was left stranded on the dock, waiting for relief to come. It did not come, causing him no small amount of anxiety.
