As for the Brave Derrin and All Hands on Deck thing: I tested every possibility for the wiki. That's not how I play normally, although I tend to be a completist. Resolve isn't my favorite attribute either, even my least favorite to say so, but I know how to legally push it to my liking. ;)

Edit: Also, I thought that the story between Marceno and his Captain (and his hat and rapier) could be related to future Deadfire events.

Welcome!

A bit late, roughly a week. And if I'd have done this earlier, I'd still could have used your previous name, but now … anyway …

Hello! And welcome to the Official Pillars of Eternity Wiki! :)

I guess there's a favorite page of yours. ;) Thanks for all those additions. (Small hint: copy-paste a whole "column" with similar entries – this way you have the "style=…" there from the start. ;) That's how I do these things.)

I've taken a look into the Justiciar Aldmar/orlan ciphers thing, but haven't come to a conclusion right now. Still have to learn much about that coding in the conversation files, it's not always clear on first sight.

Might I learn the reasons for your renaming? Regarding the obvious dispositions of yours, Aerie was well suited. ;) -- UserCCCSig -- You talkin' to me? -- cCContributions -- 20:42, 24 February 2018 (UTC)

Thank you for the warm welcome and the hint.

Yeah, well, maybe it's my favorite site based on my last activities indeed and I guess I outed myself then, you're right. I tend to play mostly lawful good or neutral good characters in role-playing games. In this regard, the name Aerie was indeed really suiting me well.

I'll load a save game without the Rogue Knight quest to look into the Justiciar Aldmar/orlan thing. I honestly don't understand the coding in conversation files at all and am limited to localization files and actual in-game testing.

The reasons for my renaming are pretty simple: First, I renamed my Twitch account, because I'm no longer an active Hearthstone player anymore (the HS in AerieHS stands for Hearthstone). Second, L4wlight is my "known" username in the Obsidian Forum Community.

Thanks to you for telling me!

(I have to admit that I never heard of Hearthstone before.)

Does "law(light)" again has something to do with "lawful good"? In the recent years my characters all took a change from chaotic good to chaotic neutral, mostly roguish ones nowadays. I can't remember I've ever played a paladin completely through a game … Though it's hard to not fall into love with Aerie. Even if I try Jaheira … (Same for Merrill, though she's far from lawful good.)

Man, how many options have I missed during Brave Derrin?! I knew it was a mistake to not reload again when I encountered the scene down in the water before having talked to all those people … And I didn't get Weyd out of the tavern, neither – mayhaps I wasn't "good" enough. ;) (Resolve isn't my favorite attribute.)

"If you tricked Marceno by giving him an empty chest and return at a later date, you can find his corpse hanging from the nearby ship." – Really??? My, never noticed that … (You gave him an empty chest? ;)

(In case you wonder – I'm just browsing (and patrolling) through the recent changes …) -- UserCCCSig -- You talkin' to me? -- cCContributions -- 23:06, 25 February 2018 (UTC)

I, for one, indeed sometimes find enjoyment in playing characters that embody righteousness, honesty, faithfulness and lawfulness to the extremes, suffering to a certain degree from tunnel vision in the process. That said, that's not my real life "alignment", because of my "inherent" pragmatism. Also, most of the time I tend to play neutral good characters, even shifting to chaotic good ones from time to time, because I personally favor benevolence, diplomacy and sometimes even rationality over honesty and passion (disposition wise). Chaotic neutral characters are also very fun to play in that they offer you unlimited freedom from a power gamer perspective.
