Description
These hairy mandibles drip with a continuous trail of sticky venom. Either the glands producing this viscous substance haven't caught wind of the empress' demise or they are naturally expected to function after death. The venom incapacitates the prey, but also taps into a secondary reservoir containing a bulging sac of dormant spider eggs. The implications of this fastened-together biological system are unpleasant to consider and unforgettable to those who have witnessed it in action.
