Scyorielaphas is a character in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.
Background[edit | edit source]
The sea dragon Scyorielaphas is the actual source of the Watershapers' power. He calls himself the "Guardian of the Isles" and likens his duty to those of the three original guardians of the Deadfire in the ancient times.
He has been bound beneath the guild for decades, held down by false promises and the wards created by the Watershapers. Periki exchanged promises with the ancient dragon, who agreed to bind his soul to the very foundations of the guilds' building, letting Watershaper students draw on his power to master the ancient art of Ngati. In return, she vowed to protect the luminous adra deposits of the archipelago against foreigners and exploitation.
But when the covenant was made, Periki cheated him: Scyorielaphas was left in darkness, alone and betrayed, chained for all eternity.
