The Scavenger Hunt was a promotion for Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire that focused on finding 55 codes hidden in various promotional media, in order to unlock special rewards via eternity.obsidian.net. It was announced on April 11, 2018[1][2], although the codes themselves were published as far back as January 17. The promotion ended on November 30, 2018, and the website is no longer fully functional.[3] However, Patch 1.2.2.0033 updated the Well-traveled Supplier's inventory to include the unique items, excluding the Golden Ring, rendering the website and promotional codes obsolete.[4] The website now redirects to a help page, telling uses how to obtain the promotional rewards.[5]

Welcome Seafaring Friends,
Your adventures across the Deadfire region will soon begin, and where they will lead you is anyone's guess. There will be plenty of tough choices to make and challenges ahead. To help you prepare, we've put a scavenger hunt together that will bestow upon you various digital rewards for use during your journey. These can only be unlocked if you are able to hunt down and find the secret codes hidden in all manner of Deadfire assets around the web: in trailers, screenshots, livestreams, at events, and more!
Steps to start your seafaring adventure are simple:
- Sign up to take part using Steam account details
- Search for hidden codes in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire assets
- Once you've found a code, sign in to your Captain's Logbook and enter the code
- After you have enough codes entered for each item, your digital reward will be added to your Steam account. There are 10 items to unlock in total.
- Once the game launches, your unlocked items will appear in your inventory

Obtaining
During the hunt
- Go to https://eternity.obsidian.net/scavenger.
- Log in and connect your Steam account.
- Type in 55 of the following codes.
- The items will automatically appear as DLC in Steam, and will be applied to existing saves (they appear in your inventory automatically for every new save).
Obtaining post-hunt
- After the promotion ended on November 30, 2018, the unique items (excluding Golden Ring) were added to the stock of the Well-traveled Supplier (they only appear if you have not already collected them during the Scavenger Hunt). He appears in Port Maje Harbor, and needs to be activated with the "Unique Item Vendor" Berath's Blessing, costing 5 points.
- Alternatively you can use console commands
