Remaro is a character in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.
Background[edit | edit source]
Remaro is a veteran captain of the Principi sen Patrena, recently accused of mutiny by the highest authorities of the faction, such as they are. Captain Aeldys has put a price on his head, demanding that he be brought back - preferably dead. Serafen, who owes Remaro a tremendous debt after he saved him from Malnaj's excesses during his time as The Sorcerer's surgeon and then captain, is naturally skeptical of the accusations and wants to learn the truth.
Remaro abandoned the Principi after the influx of new blood split the organization in half - and the discovery that the old blood wasn't much better. Captain Bastian of the Sorcerer was a slaver, hunting down ships carrying slaves only to resell them at Crookspur for a profit. Remaro confronted the captain and it went poorly, resulting in a mutiny and then Remaro turning his guns on the slaver ships. He then fled to Neketaka, trading The Sorcerer for an elven clipper in Neketaka, then making his way northwest, gunning for an exit from the archipelago, towards the Eastern Reach or the Living Lands - on the far side of Eora.
