On rare occasions, ice blights will collapse into themselves, entering a form of hibernation. Druids and wizards have developed rituals to induce blights into this state and seal them there. When released, the blights rage blindly at their captivity, providing a ready-made distraction or ally to turn the tide of battle.
In their sealed form, the blights resemble a clear, crystalline shard - unmelting but cold to the touch.
