Peculiar Dice is a quest item in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.
Description
There's something off about these dice...
- After inspecting the dice
These dice have been weighted to roll certain numbers.
Acquisition
- Fort Deadlight: Pickpocketed or looted from Snake Eyes Condwen.
- The "cheater" variant is added to the stash by clicking "Inspect the dice," from the item inspect window.
Usage
- Inspecting the dice (by clicking the "Inspect the dice" button) that you took from Snake Eyes will add the "cheater" variant of the dice to your stash.
- Closely inspecting the newly-added "cheater" variant (by opening the item inspect window) allows you to confront Snake Eyes about the dice, or Unlucky Ancret's debt, as well as with Ancret herself. Otherwise you can let him play without the weighted dice (you need to at least have the "cheater" variant, simply pickpocketing the dice isn't enough), which after 3 wins will cause Snake Eyes to realise his dice are missing. Either way, outing Condwen chases him off, leaving the entrance to the eastern ramparts open for Blow the Man Down.
Bugs
- "Inspect the dice" can be clicked repeatedly to add multiple Peculiar Dice to your inventory. Doing so does not remove the original pickpocketed dice.
