When a group of oozes gathers into one distinct entity, their metabolism sublimates the indigestible bones, dirt, and debris of their travels into a slimy byproduct reminiscent of a pearl. These items tend to dissolve with the death of their host, but in rare cases they can be recovered whole and put on display as trophies. In even rarer cases, an ooze pearl will absorb some latent quality of their host, allowing those who carry such objects to manifest some objectively horrifying talents.
