Lions thrive in the lush forests of the Deadfire, particularly in the more arid regions of the archipelago. More populous than their peers in the Eastern Reach, Deadfire lions nonetheless struggle to maintain a foothold in region due primarily to recent incursions by colonial forces, who hunt them for sport. In addition to their great power, lions are known for their roar, a terrifying sound that can strike fear even into the hearts of the bravest kith.
