Glasvahl is a character in Pillars of Eternity.
Background[edit | edit source]
As you near the platform, the temperature drops sharply. Something saps every last bit of warmth from the air, leaving the breath of your lungs cold as it escapes your lips. You see a doorway filled in with glowing ice. Silhouetted against it is an elven man, his arms outstretched. Glasvahl leads a large clan of Glamfellen who migrated to Noonfrost seeking entry into the White Void and permanent death, after a random visit from a Watcher revealed that they were all reborn intact over the twelve thousand years they inhabited the White, no closer to Rymrgand's mercy. The shock of this revelation prompted them to awaken on the following night, driving them to the extremes of endurance.
If he is allowed entry into the White Void, he can be encountered again in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire while in the Realm of the Beast. He is satisfied and is awaiting his final end. Speaking to him will allow the Watcher to conclude that they are in Rymrgand's realm and witness his final end. Speaking to Rymrgand afterwards will reveal that he still remains "here, lingering in the In-Between, refusing rebirth and dissolution both. A most irritating spirit." It is unclear if this was a scripting oversight or Glasvahl still exists.
