Gafonercos is a character in The White March - Part II.
Background[edit | edit source]
A young dragon, Gafonercos was raised from egg by the archmage Llengrath. He is a student of Llengrath's alongside Turisulfus. In return for her teachings, he acts as her steed whenever she needs to leave the bog where they make their nest. Gafonercos is quite fond of songs, less so of books, though apparently, his vocal talent is limited. Turisulfus positively hates his songs.

Quests[edit | edit source]
- The Phylactery's Promise: The dragons acknowledge The Watcher's strength if he/she killed Sefyra, the Master Below, and are eager to defeat him in battle. The quest can also be completed in a nonlethal way if the player passes a 16 Intellect dialogue check. Llengrath can be convinced to form a pact with the protagonist, where she will gain knowledge about souls (a Watcher's knowledge) and the Watcher will receive a permanent bonus to +1 INT/PER/RES. Also, the player receives Llengrath's Grimoire, Bog dragon scales and +5 security to his stronghold. All of these rewards, except for the permanent attribute buffs and the stronghold security bonus, can be obtained by slaying Llengrath and her two Bog dragons. Be warned though, as it's arguably the hardest battle in Pillars of Eternity.
