Elias Zelen is a character in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire.
Background[ | ]
You find a lanky blond elf flipping through a book of Aedyran poetry by the artist Scilba. His armor is well-worn and well-kept, and bears on its breast the image of a double-headed eagle holding a sword and crown. Looking more closely, you notice that with his free hand he's picking a padlock. Elias is an aristocratic elf with plenty of secrets, though few he deigns to share. One story he does share is his expedition in backwoods Readceras, and a hoard of books he discovered that belonged to a Readceran priest. He then settled in Dyrwood, tutoring the children of a noble family and falling for the governess. Years passed until he suddenly became consumed by a special kind of wanderlust that forced him to leave his wife in her bed and walk out the door with barely the clothes on his back. He hopes that Deadfire will be the adventure he longed for.
