Origin and prevalence[edit | edit source]
Death godlike are godlike in that they are thought to be blessed by the deity Berath before their birth. Due to their strange, menacing, and sometimes horrific appearances - death godlike are the most outcast of the godlike by the other "normal" kith races, and are often killed at birth due to the stigma that they are harbingers of doom. Because of this, the few death godlike that do exist are often reduced to be slaves or beggars.
Priests and follower of Berath hail death godlike as the "chosen" of their god, which sees many of them lead temples to Berath, where they are more accepted. Intelligent undead beings such as Death Guards also recognize them as children of Berath, and will often stay their hand rather than bring violence against them.
Appearance and culture[edit | edit source]
The heads of death godlike are almost entirely encased in strange, tumorous growths, which often grow in an organic, insectoid-like symmetrical cluster. Their skin (and these growths) are coloured hues of pale purple, pink and red. Due to their growths, their eyes and other facial features are not visible from the exterior - however for the godlike the growths are transparent, allowing them to see through clearly. Their black "hair" is ghostly and flows in a smoke-like manner, "growing" thin on the places of their head not covered by growths.
In-game description[edit | edit source]
|“||Death godlike are the most distrusted of their kind. Strange growths cover their eyes - or, in some cases, entire face - giving them a sinister appearance. The growths are transparent for the godlike but opaque from the outside, hiding their features. Death godlike are commonly killed at birth because many cultures consider them to be harbingers of doom.||”|
