This cap was found floating in the water by a small crew of adventurers. One of them, an amused aumaua, donned it and found that every enemy he faced faltered at the sight of the jingling bells atop his crown. His companions did not find the hat's constant faint tinkle so humorous after a fortnight. In a fit of rage, they cast the hat overboard while he slept - along with the aumaua wearing it.
